The only requirement for a place on our menu was: How delicious is it? (as in "I haven't eaten all day" delicious; stoner delicious; last-meal delicious).

Fresh, Handmade Jalapeno-Poppers and Walleye and Sweet Corn Fritters. During our weekend brunch, you can quiet the kids down with a Loaf of Warm Banana Bread - then come back for Sunday night Thanksgiving dinner.

Or maybe you need some chicken and waffles? Grab a seat at the kitchen counter. Want a view? Head for Sky Bar or eat street-side by the garage-door windows. Time for a pick-me-up? Support Group meets in the upstairs and downstairs bar. Oh, and join us Wednesday night for Trivia Mafia, and Saturday and Sunday for our weekend Brunch and Bloody Mary Bar!

Cafeteria aims to please. It's not farm-to-table or deconstructed Tuscan. It's just a place to go for the food you love to eat, for drinks you love to drink, and for hanging out with your fellow martini and Mac and Cheese lovers.

jeff anderson, executive chef

A native of Forest Lake, Minnesota, Jeff Anderson comes to Cafeteria from Salut Bar Américain on Grand Avenue in St. Paul, where he served as executive chef since the restaurant opened in 2008. He is a graduate of the prestigious California Culinary Academy, and before returning to Minnesota was executive chef at the acclaimed Nine75 restaurant in Denver, Colorado.
